While typing eñe using a keyboard that is in the English language is not as easy as typing a simple n, it is most certainly possible. You could always open the character viewer, select Punctuation, find (tilde), and then double click it. Wouldn’t it be much simpler if you could just type eñe using your keyboard? Well, that’s just it – you definitely can do that! You can always go the manual route and simply copy over Ñ or ñ from an external source such as another document or a webpage that contains the letter somewhere in it whenever you need to use it, but that is the long way around, and if you choose to go down this path you are going to have to look for a document or webpage with Ñ or ñ in it every single time you need the letter eñe. Most people do, however, need to type an eñe on a computer at one point or another for whatever reason. That being the case, typing eñe on a computer is not as simple as typing the letter n on one. While the letter is used in a number of different words belonging to the English language, it is not a part of keyboards that are in the English language. Eñe is the letter used in words such as jalapeño, piña colada and piñata that belong to the English language. Named eñe, this letter is a letter of the modern Latin alphabet that belongs to the Spanish language. This tilde symbol is used on some special characters in spanish and Portuguese.The letter N with a tilde on top (Ñ/ñ) forms an entirely different letter from an entirely different language. ![]() Use tilde symbol above the letter in LaTeX ,, ,, , Upper Case Circumflex Accent Press ALT+I, release, then press SHIFT+A (or another vowel of your choice), ,, Lower Case Tilde Accent Press.
